BIMTECH Opens Admission Process For PGDM 2017

The Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) has started accepting applications for admission to the 2-year full time residential  Post Graduate Diploma in Management programmes (PGDM).

The Noida based Institute in the National Capital Region is also offering  PGDM in International Business, Insurance Business Management and  Retail Management.

The last date for submission of application forms for all programmes is    November 30. The final Selection List would be declared by second week of March 2017 (tentative).

Eligibility Criteria

For PGDM, and PGDM (International Business) the candidate should be graduate with minimum 50% marks (10+2+3 pattern) with valid CAT 2016 / XAT 2017 / GMAT 2016-17 scores.

For PGDM (Insurance Business Management) and PGDM (Retail Management) , apart from the above mentioned criteria, MAT 2016-17 or  CMAT 2016-17 scores are also accepted.

Program Fees

For PGDM and PGDM (International Business) merit list candidates will have to pay Rs 11,00,000 and  International Students Rs 12,00,000. For  Corporate Sponsored / NRI / NRI Sponsored  the fees are pegged at Rs 17,00,000.

PGDM (Insurance Business Management) and PGDM (Retail Management) merit list candidates have to pay Rs 8,50,000, International Students Rs 9,00,000 and Corporate Sponsored / NRI /NRI Sponsored Rs 15,00,000.

BIMTECH accepts applications both in online and offline modes. If you are filling the Application form online, Rs 1500 has to be paid through Credit/Debit Card.

Merit List  

The merit list is prepared on the basis of the past academic profile, eligibility test scores and the performance in further selection process.

Additional weightage is given to the eligible candidates on the basis of their work experience & social profile to bring diversity and inclusiveness in the selection process.

For merit list/international students personal interview weightage is 30%,, write-up 10%, CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT percentile 30%, Past academic performance (10th, 12th, graduation) 5%, Work experience 10%, Regional : Eastern states (seven sisters), southern states (Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Pondicherry) and Jammu & Kashmir 5%, SC/ST/Minorities/DA 5%, Gender 5%.

Weightage for work experience would be given to a candidate only if he/she had worked in executive or supervisory role for a minimum period of one year as on September 1, 2016, in a registered company having turnover of Rs. 50 crore or more in the preceding financial year.

This particular norm could be relaxed on the merit of the case, if the candidate is from a start-up, entrepreneurial or social organization.

Selection Process

First phase of selection process in December 2016 for all programmes would be conducted at six centres i.e. Bengaluru, Cochin, Kolkata, Pune, Varanasi and Greater Noida.

The second phase would be conducted at pan India level at 15 locations such as Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Cochin, Dehradun, Hyderabad, Indore, Ranchi, Trivandrum, Kolkata, Mumbai, Varanasi, Pune and Greater Noida.
