IIM-Rohtak Ties Up With Talentedge For Executive Programme In Entrepreneurship

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Rohtak has tied up with Talentedge, an Ed-Tech firm, to offer a four-month Executive Programme in Entreprenuership aimed at those planning to start their own business ventures and gain knowledge about the various facets that influence successful set up and operations.

During the course beginning on June 5, industry experts and entrepreneurs would share their experiences to provide the much needed practical insights. The programme would conclude with individual mentoring sessions for the participants. It would allow budding entrepreneurs, who have developed a business plan as a part of the course, an opportunity to be guided by professional investors.

As far as eligibility is concerned, the course is open for Graduates or those with equivalent qualification from any recognized University or Institution. Diploma holders with past work experience and final year students/interns will be considered on a case to case basis.

The program would benefit business professionals who are entrusted with the task of setting independent business units or P&Ls and those who want to gain deeper knowledge about the various facets of running a business. Working professionals seriously contemplating to start a venture on their own and women planning to set up their own businesses also stand to gain. Budding entrepreneurs would get an opportunity to gain structured knowledge regarding the dynamics involved in operationalising a business proposal.

It would allow budding entrepreneurs, who have developed a business plan as a part of the course, an opportunity to be guided by professional investors.

The classes will be held through live lectures that will be beamed online via internet to student desktops/laptops or classrooms using Talentedge’s Direct To Device platform. The pedagogy will comprise of lectures and case discussions imparted by IIM Rohtak’s faculty. The programme will also include guest lectures by members from the Investor community as well as Entrepreneurs to provide practical insights.

All participants will also be granted 24X7 access to Talentedge’s Cloud Campus comprising of learning aids, study materials, reference materials, assessments, case studies and assignments etc. as per the requirement of the programme. Students could chat real time with the professors during the live class and also post all other programme related queries offline on the Cloud Campus.

Students are assured of easy access to the classes and course material from anywhere. All one needs is a 512 kbps steady internet connection. Convenient weekend schedules on Sunday mornings also benefit working professionals. The classes are of three hours duration from 11.00 AM to 02.00 PM.

A minimum of 70% attendance at the live lectures is mandatory for the successful completion of this programme. There may be periodic evaluations built in throughout the duration of the course. These could be in the form of a quiz, assignment or other objective/subjective assessments as relevant and applicable to the programme.

These are designed to ensure continuous student engagement with the course and encourage learning. While the results/feedback on such assignments will be provided, no consolidated mark or grade sheets shall be distributed to the Participants at the end of the course.

The Programme Fee is Rs. 50,000 + taxes for Indian Residents and $ 1100 for International students. On successful completion of the Executive Programme in Entrepreneurship, participants will be awarded a certificate of participation issued by IIM Rohtak.

The programme comprises of key modules like opportunity identification and positioning as an entrepreneur; Starting your own business; Building & presenting a Business Plan; Funding & entrepreneurial finance; Marketing strategies; Talent acquisition and management; Growing the business; Practical insights to challenges and mentoring session with members of investor community (for participants with Business Plans).
