21% of MIT Sloan Class of 2019 has Finance Services Work Background

Of the total 404 students in the full-time MBA Class of 2019 at MIT Sloan, 21% has a work background in Financial Services. The average work experience of the class is 4.87 years.

Consulting Services comes next at 19%, followed by Technology, Media & Telecom 18%, Government & Public Sector 15%, Energy 8%, Health Care/Life Sciences 7%, Industrials 6%, Consumer Goods & Services 4% and Professional Services 2%.

As far as Undergraduate Majors are concerned, Engineering tops with 32%, followed by Business & Commerce 21%, Economics !6%, Science & Math and Humanities 11% each and Social Science 9%.

The school says the broad portfolio of learning opportunities enables the student to experience exponential growth,  academically, personally, and professionally, towards meeting career aspirations.

Female representation is 42.3% compared to 57.7% male students. The average Undergraduate GPA is 3.49. The average GMAT score is 722 and the range is 690-760 in the middle 80%. The GRE Quant range is 159-170 and Verbal range 154-160 in the middle 80%.

While US citizens make up 67% of the class the remaining 33% are international students representing 50 countries.

Asia/Middle East account for 48% of the international students followed by South/Central America 22%, Europe 16%, North America (Canada & Mexico) 9%, Oceania 3% and Africa 2%.
