IIFT Final Placement: Average Compensation Goes Up to Rs 20.07 LPA

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has reported 100% placement for its two-year full-time MBA (International Business) graduating batch of 2017-19 with the average overall compensation going up to Rs 20.07 lakh per annum from Rs 19.23 LPA last year.

While the highest salary offered overall crossed Rs 1 crore with several students receiving compensations of more than Rs 75 LPA, the average domestic compensation rose to Rs 18.89 LPA compared to Rs 18.27 LPA in the previous year.  The median compensation also went up to Rs 18.00 LPA. The highest international offer was $150,000.

The batch, comprising 279 students accepted offers from 98 companies. As many as 32 new recruiters had participated in the placement.

The students had also received as many as 93 PPOs offered by major recruiters including Airtel, Amazon, Axis Bank, Bajaj Auto, Bain Capability Network, Britannia, Citibank, GE, GEP, Godrej, and Goldman Sachs.

HP, HT Media, IVP, ICICI, Infoedge, ITC, JPMC, KPMG, Louis Dreyfus, Maersk Line, Marico, OfBusiness, Piramal, PPG Asian Paints, Royal Enfield, RPG, Shell, Synergy Consulting, Tata Metalliks, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Wipro Technologies and Yes Bank were among the recruiters.

The first time recruiters included Aegis Resources, Axtria, Bata, DE Shaw Group, Epik InDiFi, Enhance Group, Export Trading Group, Fermenta Biotech, Field Fresh Foods, Go-MMT, HomeCredit, Lenskart, United Health Group, Paytm, Polycab, Rivigo, Roland Berger, Samunnati Finance, Tata Global Beverages, Tresvista Financial Services and Zomato. GE Healthcare came up with its Commercial Leadership Program for the first time.

The roles offered included product manager, program manager and analytics manager roles. GoMMT, OYO, PayTM, Optum and EXL recruited in large numbers.

In sector-wise recruitment, in Consulting, the top firms were Bain Capability Network and Cognizant Business Consulting.

In IT/ERP/Business Process Consulting, the recruiters were Brillo, Capgemini, Genpact, Tata Consultancy Services and Wipro.

General Management saw Airtel and Seashell Logistics while Strategy had Deloitte, Droom, Fementa Biotech, Infosys Management Consulting and Roland Berger.

FMCG, FMCD and Retail witnessed ABFRL, Bata, Dell, Field Fresh Foods and Mother Dairy among major recruiters. Polycab, Raymond, TetraPak and TGBL were also among the major recruiters.

Pharmaceutical, Healthcare & Medical Devices (S&M, Corporate Finance and Operations) saw Fementa Biotech, General Electric, Indegene and Optum among the recruiters.

Technology, Telecom and other Marketing/ Supply Chain roles were offered by Axtria, EXL, i3 Consulting and Optum in Analytics and Capgemini, Games 24/7, Genpact, Google, Hexaware, HP, Indigene and Valuelabs in IT. Media & Telecom had Airtel and TataSky.

E-Commerce/Consumer Services had Amazon, Clicklabs, Droom and Freight Tiger among major recruiters. They also included GoMMT, OYO, PayTM and Zomato.

Trade saw ADM, Aegis Resources, AIG, ETG, Olam, Tolaram and Trafigura among the recruiters.
