Rs 37 Lakh Highest Domestic Salary At IIM Kozhikode 2016 PGP Placements

IIM Kozhikode has completed its final placements for its pre-experience Two-year Masters in Business Management (PGP) with the top domestic salary offer at Rs 37 lakh, a 25 per cent increase over the highest package of Rs 29.5 lakh last year.

Average salary for the 353-strong batch rose more than 12 per cent to Rs 17.1 lakh.

The placement drive saw 119 companies in the campus making 370 offers. First-time recruiters, numbering 40, included 3M, Bank of America, Boston Consulting Group, Brand Accelerator, Capita, Caratlane, Credit Suisse, Frost & Sullivan, McKinsey & Co., Mondelez and Paytm.

Average salary for the 353-strong PGP batch rose more than 12 per cent to Rs 17.1 lakh.

Consultancy sector drew 28% of the candidates followed closely by Marketing at 27%. Operations/ General Management & IT got 24% and Finance 21 %.

Placements chairperson AF Mathew said a significant increase in offers was noted in the consultancy sector.

Among major recruiters were Accenture Management Consulting, Avalon Consulting, Boston Consulting Group, CBC, Deloitte, EY, Frost & Sullivan, KPMG, McKinsey and PricewaterhouseCoopers making 99 offers, or to 28% of the batch.

Finance sector had first-time recruiters Credit Suisse and Bank of America making 13 offers between them. American Express, Axis Bank, Citibank, Deutsche Bank, Edelweiss, Fidelity, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Nomura and Yes Bank were among the others.

Sales and marketing saw offers from 3M, Arvind Lifestyle, Godrej, Heinz, Hindustan Unilever, Idea Cellular, Infineon, ITC, Kellogg’s, Marico, Maruti Suzuki, Nestle, Philips, Schneider, Snapdeal and Vodafone.

Aditya Birla Group, Bharti Airtel, Madura, Mahindra, RPG, TAS, Tata Communications and others, including first-timers like Brand Accelerator and LAVA, made offers in leadership programmes or in the strategy domain.

Operations sector saw Amazon, Capita, EXL, HCCB, Ola Cabs, Raymond, Shell, Tata Steel and TVS.

Multiple offers were made by companies in the IT, ITeS and analytics profile. Asian Paints, Capgemini, Google, Microsoft, Mindtree, Mondelez, Syntel and ZS Associates were among the recruiters.
