SIBM Placement: Average CTC Up At Rs 15.02 LPA For Batch 2015-17

The graduating batch of 2015-2017 at Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) Pune raked in an average CTC of Rs 15.02 Lakh per annum with the highest CTC touching Rs 24 Lakh at the Final Placement.

The highest CTC rejected was Rs 28 lakh. The median CTC was 12.5 lakh and averagee CTC for the top 50 at Rs 20.44. The average CTC for the top 100 was Rs 17.22 lakh. Number of offers about Rs 12 LPA(Lakh per annum) was 132 and those above Rs 10 lakh numbered 178.

The number of recruiters was 70. They made 202 offers. The number of PPOs stood at 68.

The majority of job offers were from BFSI at 28% followed by IT/ITES at 18%. FMCG/FMCD made up 17%, Manufacturing 15%, Conglomerate and Consulting were 7% each.

The average CTC rose from Rs 14.23 in 2015-16 to Rs 15-02 in 2016-17. Similarly, the highest domestic CTC nudged up to Rs 28 lakh from the previous year’s Rs 27.8 lakh.

The 2015-17 batch had 37% students with above 24 months work experience, 36% freshers, 11% with 19-24 months, 9% with 12-18 months and 7% with 0-11 months.

In educational background, 19% were from Management, 17% each from Commerce, Computer Engineering, Electronics and others. The remaining 13% were from Mechanical.

The gender diversity of the batch was 36% female and 64% male.

The majority of job offers were from BFSI at 28% followed by IT/ITES at 18%. FMCG/FMCD made up 17%, Manufacturing 15%, Conglomerate and Consulting were 7% each.

Prominent recruiters in BFSI were UBS, SBI Card, HSBC, Kotak Life Insurance, Yes Bank, State Bank of India, Aditya Birla Finance, Religare, Fidelity Investments, Aviva, JP Morgan, HDFC Life, Indiabulls and ICICI Bank.

ITES had 3i Infotech, CISCO, HCL Technologies, Capgemini, Wipro, L&T, accenture and Genpact.

FMCG/FMCD had Pidilite, Saint-Gobain, Mother Dairy, Lava, Dabur, Titan, GlaxoSmithKline, Asian Paints, Denon and ITC.

Manufacturing had Cummins, Honeywell, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Steel, Tata Motors and Bajaj.

Consulting saw EY, Michael Page, Accelya and Deloitte while Conglomerates were represented by Godrej, Mahindra, Reliance Industries Limited, Future Group, Piramal and Aditya Birla Group.

Pharmaceuticals were represented by Alkem and Novartis and Telecom by airtel, idea and Vodafone. Among other recruiters were Oxford University Press, Maersk, Vedanata, Aspect Ratio, BD and Welspun.(Image Source:google.com)
