IIM Raipur Placements: Grads Draw Average Salary of Rs 12.45 Lakh

Final placement for the PGP (2016-18) batch at IIM Raipur saw graduates drawing a domestic average salary of Rs 12.45 lakh and a median salary of Rs 12.15 lakh.

The highest international package stood at Rs 61.88 lakh and the highest domestic package at Rs 22.05 lakh. As many as 150 recruiters had turned up to offer roles to the batch comprising 201 students.

The average salary offered to the top 10 percentile was Rs 20.12 lakh, the top 25 percentile drew Rs 17.50 lakh and the top 50 percentile Rs 15.76 lakh. There was a 37% increase in the number of offers and the participation of 65 new recruiters.

In gender ratio, female students comprised 32% of the class and male 68%. As far as work experience is concerned, 48% had 0-11 months, 20% had 24-35 months, 19% had 12-23 months and 13% had more than 36 months.

Sales and marketing topped with 32% of the students accepting roles in major firms including Berger Paints, Bharat Forge, Birla Gold, Coffee Day Beverages and TAFE, Ultratech.

While 23% of the class accepted offers from the IT & Operations domain in organizations including Accenture, Cognizant, VM Ware, and Wipro, 26% opted for roles in Consulting, General Management and Analytics. Top recruiters included Analytics Quotient, Deloitte, Latentview Analytics and Mu Sigma.

In the NBFC and BFSI sector, major recruiters were Aditya Birla SunLife Insurance, Analytics Quotient, Axis Bank, Decimal Point, Deloitte, Futures First, HDFC, ICICI, Finance Kotak Mahindra Bank, L&T Finance, Purnartha, Spandana Sphoorty, Trafigura and TresVista Financial Services.

Recruiters in HR sector included Deloitte, DTDC, Jaetal Group, Reliance, and RITES.

In gender ratio, female students comprised 32% of the class and male 68%. As far as work experience is concerned, 48% had 0-11 months, 20% had 24-35 months, 19% had 12-23 months and 13% had more than 36 months.

In education background, 74% came from Engineering, 9% each in Commerce/Accounting and Science and 4% in Arts.
