IE Tops FT Online MBA Ranking 2016 For The Third Year

IE Business School of Spain has topped the FT Online MBA Ranking 2016 for the third year in succession followed by Warwick Business School, UK in second place and University of Florida: Hough Graduate School of Business in the third spot.

IE has maintained its 2015 ranking for its Global MBA with its graduates getting the highest salary of US $178,569, a 39% increase over the previous year. Warwick too held on to its previous year’s rank for its Warwick MBA by Distance Learning with salary pegged at US$143,799 a hike of 32%.

FT had measured the programs by four major categories, namely, career progress, online delivery, program diversity and idea generation and 18 metrics within those categories, including aims achieved (the extent to which alumni fulfilled their goals), program delivery (the extent to which alumni rate the online delivery of live teaching sessions, other teaching materials and online exams) and online interaction (rating interaction between students, teamwork and availability of faculty).

Hough too has maintained its third rank from the previous year. Graduates of its online MBA draws a salary of US$114,128 and a salary increase of 31%.

However, the biggest salary increase of 47% was witnessed by 11th ranked University of Bradford School of Management whose Distance Learning MBA graduates at US $109,158. The school, however, had slipped from its 8th rank in 2015.

Interestingly, Babson College Olin stood third in its graduates securing a salary of U$ 146,486, an increase of 22%. It also went up in ranking by one spot to 6.

The first ranked IE Business School had been maintaining the rank since 2014. In career progress, it was ranked 3, moving up by one point, in programme delivery its 6th rank remained the same.

Warwick too had maintained its 2nd rank for the third consecutive year. In career progress, it moved up by two points to occupy the number 1 spot. In programme delivery too, it went up by two points to number 7.

Third ranked Hough, however, dropped 6 points in career progress rank to 13. In salary increase, it went up by 8 points.
