“This is for the first time, CAT has enabled an option to correct mistakes, if any, discovered after submission of the CAT application,” he added.

Last date extended

The last date for receipt of applications was extended from September 22 to September 27. “The main reason for the extension is to facilitate the students who are still in the process of completing their applications. There are many applicants in this stage, and we have been getting a lot of requests from them,” Prof Bandi said.

“The total number of submitted applications is 2.08 lakh till September 22, which is far in excess of the applications for the comparable period last year. This number is expected to go up further. The corresponding number last year was 1.83 lakh,” he added.

A dedicated help desk ([email protected]) has been set up to assist and answer queries of candidates in PWD category.

For purely visual questions (like graphs, pictures, or maps) alternate questions of equal difficulty will be provided for candidates with visual disability.
