Application Process for PGPpro 2018-19 Weekend MBA at ISB to begin on June 10

The Indian Business School (ISB) is offering a weekend Executive MBA (EMBA) equivalent program designed for mid-career working professionals with the application process for the academic year 2018-19 set to begin on June 10, 2017.

The First round deadline for the Post Graduate Programme in Management for Working Professionals (PGPpro) will be October 10. A non-refundable application fee of Rs 5000 will have to be paid only online via credit card. Round 2 Application Deadline (Final) will be November 20 for which the application fee will be Rs 15,000. The School starts processing the completed application form as soon as it is received online and would revert to the applicant within 8 weeks.

You should have a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification in any discipline as determined by the Admission Committee that includes professional qualifications including CA and ICWA.

ISB says the 16-month program would help professionals gain deep strategy and leadership insights. They could choose to specialise in either Finance or Marketing, enhance their decision-making abilities as well as strengthen managerial skills.

Eligibility

You should have a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification in any discipline as determined by the Admission Committee that includes professional qualifications including CA and ICWA.

The candidate needs full-time work experience between 5-12 years. Those having less than 5 or more than 12 years of work experience as on January 1, 2018, are not eligible for admission.

The Schools says it looks for mature, motivated individuals possessing a combination of exceptional managerial experience, strong academic ability and superior interpersonal skills. Each application is evaluated holistically across different elements. The admission process being very selective, only high potential candidates could hope to get a seat.

Your academic performance will be taken into consideration along with personal attributes that include high ethical values, superior interpersonal skills besides an ability to communicate effectively and intelligently. Candidates should have an achievement-oriented mindset and global outlook.

On the professional front, you should have proven managerial experience like in project management, decision making and people management. Professional growth potential, leadership potential and performance at the interview are also taken into consideration.

Program Schedule

PGPpro is the first program of ISB to be offered in Delhi (NCR) and Mumbai besides its campus in Hyderabad. It includes two weeks of classes are held at ISB campuses – one week in Mohali and one week in Hyderabad.

Students would also have the opportunity for one international immersion in an Asian country.

The program has a blended learning format, a mix of synchronous/asynchronous online learning combined with the majority of learning in the classroom.

The classes are held on alternate weekends (Saturday & Sunday) and online modules for a few hours in the intervening weeks. The program starts in January 2018 and ends in June 2019. Classes are held on alternate weekends in Delhi (NCR) region, Mumbai and Hyderabad. Saturday would be more than a full day with classes starting at 08:30 am and running till 06:00 in the evening with breaks for breakfast, lunch and tea. After dinner, the day will conclude with group/individual study at 11:00 pm. Sunday session winds up at 06:00 in the evening.

Participants need not take leave from work. The program has a Strategy and Leadership focus with one additional area of specialisation in either Finance or Marketing. However, a specialisation may not be offered if the enrolment for it is less than 25% of the enrolled students.

Fees & Other Expenses

The program fee for the academic year 2017-18 is Rs 30,41,000 plus service tax and includes the admission fee & tuition fee. A refundable security deposit of Rs 20,000 has to be paid in addition to the program fee.

The students may also have to bear additional expenses upwards of Rs 100,000 for travel to ISB Hyderabad and Mohali campuses; Airfare/local conveyance for the international immersion; conveyance, boarding & lodging during field trips and meals; purchase of laptops and other electronic aids.(Image Source:Wikipedia.org)
