MBA aspirants aiming to join an international program in the US would now be able to avail of a full-fledged online MBA course by Colorado State University’s College of Business in collaboration with India’s Amity University, at less than half the cost.

CSU has recently signed an International Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Amity University to launch dual degree programs using Amity’s distance learning delivery platform. It aims to provide collaborative teaching and research opportunities for faculty and students.

For the CSU, the agreement with the Amity, a multi-campus private research university, provides an important local partner in expanding its geographical reach while meeting the important education needs in india, says Sanjay Ramchander, Associate Dean, academic programs at CSU’s College of Business.

While Amity would select and match the students with the right program, CSU would focus on the academic program and experience. The dual degree program allows students to transfer credits from Amity into CSU’s online MBA program and earn a degree from Colorado State University. Since CSU is a member of AIU, the degree is recognised in India also.

The students would also get academic support from both CSU faculty and section coordinators and from faculty and tutors at their home institution. Amity students would also be able to avail of CSU’s student orientation, academic advising and student retention, graduation planning and other related services.

While the MBA is an exclusively online program, students will have the option to attend a customized on-campus summer immersion program as an elective course.

Yet another advantage being cited is that students from both the institutions would be able to provide unique perspectives, world views and business insights adding value to classroom discussions and program objectives. They would also be able to learn from each other and “enhance the international business experience that each student needs into today’s business world,” says Ramchander.

Amity University, comprising 7 Universities, has International campuses in London, Singapore, Dubai, New Jersey, California, Romania, Beijing, Nanjing and Mauritius. Its online MBA has been ranked no. 18 worldwide by QS, UK.
