Admission is open at the Xavier School of Management (XLRI) for the virtual interactive learning (VIL) PG certificate programs in Business Management (PGCBM) and Human Resource Management (PGCHRM) for working executives.
The last date for online registration for the two programs will be October 30, XLRI said in a press statement. The 1-year program has a virtual classroom platform that participants can access from 40 study centres located across India.
Applicants should have a minimum two years of work experience as on October 2017 after completion of graduation or equivalent (as on October ’17) after completion of graduation (in 10+2+3 format) or equivalent.
Who should apply?
The program is designed for working executives seeking to boost their career by improving their managerial skills and business acumen without leaving their jobs, cities or families.
Applicants should have a minimum two years of work experience as on October 2017 after completion of graduation or equivalent (as on October ’17) after completion of graduation (in 10+2+3 format) or equivalent.
Students need to have their own laptop and 3G net-connect dongle for corresponding with faculty, writing tests and assignments. The regular sessions would be held at the allotted study centres.
The applicant’s credentials will be verified at the time of the interview/admission and will not be needed at the time of submitting the application.

How to apply
You have to fill in an online application form. Its hard copy is needed only at the time of the interviews. After filling up the form, check and correct the errors, if any, before clicking on the ‘Apply For Registration’ button.
After registration, you can make an online payment of Rs 2000 (inclusive of GST), which is non-refundable. After the payment of the application fees, you should fill in the online Statement of Purpose (SOP) logging in with the help of your XSAT ID and password received through an e-mail.
Please take care to fill in all the required information correctly as any application with incomplete information (For example, without a photograph, SOP, educational details and details related to your work experience etc.) will not be taken up for further processing.
Program Details
The program will have XLRI professors delivering the lectures through a high definition video conference based virtual classroom platform. Broadband infrastructure is used to deliver real-time, synchronous, live education to all the participating students. The interaction is live and uses high-quality video, audio and data transfer. The students are required to come to the learning centres at the appointed hour.
The program takes into account the resources and time constraints of the aspirants while meeting the demand for quality education. It places a lot of emphasis on work experience. It is best suited for middle and senior management professionals looking at growing into general management roles.
The program is neither the regular MBA (PGDBM/PGDPM&IR) of XLRI Jamshedpur nor equivalent to any of the regular courses of XLRI.
You also have the option to any of the Virtual Classroom Location from whichever city you will be traveling to with prior written permission from both the classroom coordinators. However, the classes cannot be accessed outside India.
