Admissions Open at IMT Ghaziabad for PGDM and MBA Programs

The admission process has started at the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad for the 2-year postgraduate diploma in management (PGDM) and MBA programs for the 2018-19 batch.

“This year marks the introduction of new and dynamic courses keeping in mind the industry requirements and sector specialisations that are emerging. The Major and Minor tracks offered aims to give students management education that is wide based and more relevant in the long term,” IMT Ghaziabad director Atish Chattopadhyay said.

Final year students can also apply. Candidates will be granted admission on the basis of their scores in the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2017, Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2018 or GMAT.

The school has introduced new courses on sustainability, social responsibility, design thinking and organisation based projects. Major Tracks are in the areas of Marketing, Finance, Operations, IT and HR. Minor tracks are niche and address contemporary areas like Marketing Analytics and research, Media and communication, Service Management Equity Research and Portfolio Management, Development Management and Consulting, IT Analytics etc, it said in a statement.

These are designed to boost the placement prospects but also sustaining and growing their careers. Students would also have an opportunity to be a part of Entrepreneurial/Social/ Rural/ International immersion, basis their areas of interest, it added.

Eligibility Criteria

You need a three years bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline. Final year students can also apply. Candidates will be granted admission on the basis of their scores in the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2017, Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2018 or GMAT.

After the test scores are in, eligible candidates will be called for a Critical Thinking Test, Group Exercise and Personal Interview process (Ct-GE-PI) in February 2018 that will evaluate the “holistic personality of the applicant”.

You have to fill in the online common application form available at www.imt.edu/admissions2018 and pay a fee of Rs 2000 and applicable taxes. You can apply for the globally accredited residential programmes at Ghaziabad, Nagpur, Dubai, and Hyderabad campus. The application link has been activated on September 3 which will end on November 24.

Evaluation will be based on various parameters such as written communication skills, innovation and creativity, the contribution of ideas, leadership potential and interpersonal skills. Those with work experience will be additionally evaluated on the relevance of their experience in relation to the program. The school has also introduced new courses on sustainability, social responsibility, design thinking and organisation based projects.
