Admission Process for Working Executives Program (WMP) at IIM Lucknow Begins

Admission process has started for the Post Graduate Program in Management for Working Executives (WMP) at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow for the the 2017-19 academic session with the last date for submitting the completed application form on April 3.

Selection of participants for the program will be based on their performance in an entrance test and personal interview. The program will be held at the Noida campus of the IIM.

Those enrolled for WMP will attend classes for one weekend in a fortnight over a period of 21 months. Thus, they will have to take leave from work for only two Fridays in a month.

Candidate should have a bachelor degree in any discipline or equivalent from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks or 5.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale. (For reserved categories minimum percent required is 45% or 5.0 CGPA)

Executives working full time in the National Capital Region (NCR) and other cities will be able to attend the classes without adversely affecting their professional duties. The participants will also be able to attend classes and obtain certification from a university of repute at an international location (in Europe or in East Asia).

They could also benefit from a real-time industry project and/or dissertation with industry and an academic mentor. Student Advisory Services will be available for student-initiated corporate networking events. Peer-to-peer learning through on campus group projects and in-class interactions are other highlights of the program. It also includes a visit to Lucknow campus for one week of classes.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate should have a bachelor degree in any discipline or equivalent from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks or 5.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale. (For reserved categories minimum percent required is 45% or 5.0 CGPA)

They should have minimum 3 years of full-time post-qualification professional work experience as on April 30, 2017. Candidates should also have a valid CAT/ GMAT/ XAT/ GATE/ WMP Entrance Test score

Admission Process

Applications forms are to be filled in online and submitted through IIM Lucknow official website. Along with the application, a copy of CAT/GMAT/ XAT/ GATE score card or WMP Entrance Test are to be submitted. Experience certificates or salary slips from your previous/current employer with specific date of joining and leaving mentioned are also to be uploaded.

The WMP Entrance examination will be held on April 16 and announcement of shortlisted candidates will be in the first week of May. Personal interviews will be held on May 12, 13 and 14. The list of candidates selected for the program will be made in the third week of May.

WMP Program Fees

The fee for WMP 2017-2019 is Rs. 12,65,000 which includes tuition, cost of course material, library, computer facilities, cost of international emersion, international travelling, student activities, hostel and mess charges. Participants will stay at the Executive Centre at the Noida Campus.

The fee also includes the cost of academic inputs, travel, visa and stay during the International Module. Expenses for boarding and other incidentals like local transport, Internet, telephone, stationery, among others, during the International Module, are to be borne by the student.

The WMP is run over seven terms. The term fee for Term I to III, VI and VII will be Rs. 1, 30,000. The term fee for Term IV and V will be Rs. 2, 97,500.

In addition to this, there would be an Alumni Membership Fee of Rs.5,000 and a Students Activities fee of Rs. 10,000 to be paid as a one time fee, during the first term registration. Candidates also need to deposit an additional amount of Rs. 5,000 as a refundable security deposit payable at the time of admission.

This would be refunded after deduction of any dues/liabilities at the time of leaving the program. The Convocation fee of Rs. 5,000 would be payable at the beginning of the seventh term, in addition to the requisite term fees.

Total payment at the time of admission therefore will be Rs. 1,50,000 which includes Term I fee and one time payments, including refundable money. It will be paid in two parts: Rs. 50,000 as acceptance Fee in beginning of June, 2017, and Rs. 1,00,000 at the time of admission. All applicable taxes will be charged from the students in additional to above mentioned term fee.
